Our Fixed Cost Quoting Process

Unique Fixed-Cost Quoting

Our unique fixed-cost quoting process allows our clients to have complete peace of mind in knowing exactly how much they will be paying for our services without having to worry about any surprise charges or hidden fees.

As a family-owned and operated business, we understand how important it is to provide our clients with transparent pricing.

Thanks to our fixed-cost quoting process, we are able to provide you with a clear understanding of exactly what you will be paying for and how much it will cost before we start any work.

If any issues arise during your renovation or restoration project, we will work hard to provide innovative solutions that work within your budgetary requirements. That way you will never have to worry about paying for any unexpected charges or fees. Get in touch with us today to learn more about our fixed-rate quoting process or to book a free consultation for your upcoming project.

Fixed Cost Quote OR Cost-Plus Quote - Which is right for you?

Our quoting process offers two distinct options—Fixed Cost Quotes and Cost-Plus Quotes. Each has its own advantages depending on how you prefer to manage your project’s budget, scope, and flexibility. Ultimately, the choice comes down to what works best for you.

Most General Contractors are incentivized to provide low, unrealistic budget estimates to lock you into a contract, with the final amount you pay being 30% to 50% higher than the original quote.

At Norum Construction & Renovation Ltd. Our unique bidding process and experience with fixed cost pricing sets us apart from our competitors.

Fixed Quotes

This option provides a set price for the entire job before work begins. At Norum, our unique experience in providing fixed bid quotations will provide you with a budget much more accurate to final results.

Our 5 Step Quoting Process

Step One

Book your first consultation to make sure we’re a good fit for your project.

Step Two

Schedule a site visit to discuss your project in further detail, and we will conduct a site measurement for materials and products.

Step Three

You will receive an outline of the scope of work, and initial pricing. *Initial pricing will include assumed pricing for materials, until the details of the project and materials are finalized.*

Step Four

Once the scope of work is approved, we will require a 1% retainer of the initial pricing. A trade day will then be scheduled for the full detailed scope of work.

Step Five

A final scope of work will be presented, and the retainer fee will be applied to the final cost as a credit, before signing the contract documents.
